Sports injury specialist ‘PhysioFitness’ expands its services with a revolutionary cell regeneration machine

Bournemouth based sports physiotherapy clinic, PhysioFitness, which was established by two former AFC Bournemouth physiotherapists, is celebrating its tenth year in business with the addition of a new cutting-edge Molecular Bio-Physical Stimulation (MBST) machine.

Set up in 2010 by sports professionals, Dave Mott and Tom Jenkins, PhysioFitness specialises in the use of innovative techniques to treat sports injuries or degenerative musculoskeletal conditions.

It is the latest of just eight centres in the UK to offer the pioneering new therapy which stimulates cell repair and regrowth using non-invasive technology. When combined with traditional physiotherapy techniques, MBST can offer potentially life-changing results.

Dave, whose career history includes England U-18 Football Physiotherapist and Consultant Physiotherapist for the English Institute of Sport, explains; “Having treated sporting injuries throughout my career and been able to offer the highest levels of care, I wanted to set up a clinic that would give ‘everyday’ people access to the high-quality treatments that elite athletes receive.”

Dave was joined by Tom Jenkins, who juggles being a Director at the clinic with his role as sports physiotherapist for the Wales men’s hockey squad. Tom expands; “We have always prided ourselves on being a forward-thinking, progressive clinic offering the best treatments and latest healthcare technology. Having seen the incredible benefits that MBST can deliver, we knew we wanted to help lead the way by adding it to our offering.”

MBST is not widely known in the UK but it has transformed the lives of thousands of people across the world over the past 20 years. It is a completely pain-free and non-invasive therapy, and at PhysioFitness, the therapy is undertaken in a bespoke treatment room which offers catch up TV, Netflix and Amazon Prime so patients can totally relax during their sessions.

Success stories of MBST include Johnny Nelson, ex-Cruiserweight World Champion boxer, who credits the treatment with reducing his back pain in only two days, describing it as “absolutely mind blowing”.

Tom continues; “We’re extremely excited to welcome this game-changing machine and to be the only clinic in the UK offering treatments seven days a week. Our patients have already responded very positively – bookings are filling up already!”

Bournemouth’s PhysioFitness clinic will use the pioneering MBST technology in tandem with physiotherapy and muscle strengthening to treat sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, spinal degeneration, cartilage damage and other injuries.

The technology works by stimulating damaged and degenerated cartilage, bone, ligament, tendon and muscle cells to encourage repair and regrowth.

Once the cells of the affected area or injury have been sufficiently stimulated from MBST therapy, the cells will continue to grow and develop by themselves, reducing pain and enabling greater mobility.
