New homes builder, Miller Homes Southern, is starting the year on a high following a record-breaking end to 2021. Its latest figures reveal a 42 per cent increase in reservations from 2020, with forecasts for 2022 already looking encouraging.
Miller Homes’ online reservation service, which was the first of its kind when it launched back in 2017, is continuing to demonstrate online consumer confidence after it revealed there were more than 170 online reservations – making up 35 per cent of the total reservations in 2021.
Meanwhile, 2022 is already set to be another successful year for the new homes builder’s Southern region, having already forward-sold over 50 per cent of its homes across its nine neighbourhoods and securing two brand new land acquisitions.
Sales and marketing director for Miller Homes Southern, Katrina Crawford, said:
“2021 was a really exciting and fulfilling year for us, in spite of the challenges we faced. Like other businesses across the country, much of our operations turned digital – from virtual and pre-booked meetings to online development launches and events. But, it’s not just businesses who embraced the digital-forward way of life, many of our customers too were opting to reserve their new home online. We expect 2022 to be no different, with our teams predicting that more families than ever will secure their dream home online this year.
“We’re confident that there’s a huge appetite for moving home this year too, with a larger focus set to be back on commuter hotspots as many UK employers continue the hybrid working trend that has fast become the norm.
“We’re encouraged by the rise in online interest and to be starting the year in such a strong position with our sales team going above and beyond to forward-sell over 50 per cent into 2022. Despite uncertainty being a recurring theme throughout last year, our teams demonstrated their agility and determination to find people their dream homes across the region and we look forward to being able to build on those successes over the coming months.”
This year, the new homes builder has earmarked Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire as one of its upcoming developments.
As well as launching the second phase of its Minerva Heights development in Chichester this year, Miller Homes has secured land in the village of Eastergate, also in Chichester.
Katrina continued:
“We’ve already hit the ground running this year, with our land teams successfully securing two new sought-after brown land areas. Our teams are also preparing to launch our Boorley Gardens neighbourhood in Hampshire and the next phase of our popular Minerva Heights development in Chichester. Never has there been more opportunities for house hunters across the Southern region; an area of the UK that famously combines natural beauty, with well-connected communities.”
