As part of its Together Karting initiative and in partnership with the charity Absolutely Together, Absolutely Karting in Bristol gave 100 families that have children and young people with additional needs free go-karting experiences during the summer holidays.

Designed to foster inclusivity, the initiative allowed families to enjoy an exhilarating activity together, which may otherwise be out of reach.

Together Karting proved to be a resounding success, with families relishing the chance to engage in an activity that catered to all members, regardless of their needs.

David Brind from Absolutely Together, which provides free access to leisure activities to families with young people who require extra support, commented:

The Together Karting programme has proven to be a vital part of our work, as it not only offers thrilling experiences but also fosters connections and a sense of belonging within our community. We’re immensely grateful to Absolutely Karting for their unwavering commitment to this cause.”

Absolutely Karting is dedicated to continuing its support for Absolutely Together’s mission by providing ongoing free go-karting sessions to the families supported by the charity.  The indoor karting venue, located in Clay Hill, is opening up its track every Thursday afternoon and Sunday morning for families, who will take part in a short safety briefing before every member has the chance to take to the track together.

“Partnering with Absolutely Together has allowed us to extend our passion for karting to families who may not have had the opportunity otherwise, and we’re delighted that 100 families were able to enjoy the thrill of the track over the summer.

“We have specially adapted go-karts, which allow those with additional needs to have as much or as little control as they want while being driven around the track by one of our expert instructors. We are committed to continuing this journey and providing a platform where everyone can enjoy go-karting – we look forward to welcoming more families every Thursday and Sunday.”
