Following last year’s restricted Christmas celebrations, many people are beginning to get excited by the prospect of having family and friends round to share the day with in Berkshire.

It is therefore no surprise to see 67% of residents in the county disclosed that hosting big celebrations at home is important to them.

The figure was revealed in a recent survey conducted by leading housebuilder David Wilson Homes*, which is highlighting why its properties are the perfect space to host a celebration in.

Firstly, all of David Wilson Homes’ properties feature an open plan living space in the kitchen, making it the perfect area for many people to gather and chat whilst making sure the turkey isn’t burning. For celebrations during the summer, residents can make the most of the French doors in the kitchen which make the socialising space even greater.

As well as this, many of the developer’s homes in Berkshire include a spare room, which can be used as a guest bedroom. This means friends and family can enjoy a drink during the celebration and comfortably stay over relieving the hassle of ordering a taxi.

Furthermore, all of David Wilson Homes’ developments in the county are carefully selected for their location. A number of the communities are close to main roads and railway links, meaning friends and family who are travelling further can do so simply and easily.

Campbell Gregg, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes Southern, said: “Having friends and family over to celebrate special occasions with is always great fun, and having the right space to do it in is really important.

“It’s no shock to see such a large number of people in Berkshire valuing the importance of hosting a celebration at home, and we believe our properties will give them a space they can be proud to do this from.”

David Wilson Homes currently has a variety of properties available in Berkshire at the following developments: Donnington Heights, Landmark Square and Newbury Racecourse.
