For the sixth year, Hall & Woodhouse is sponsoring the Wimborne Minster Folk Festival – one of the largest folk gatherings in the south of England.  The Festival takes place from Thursday June 6th until Sunday June 9th in Wimborne in Dorset.

Hall & Woodhouse, Dorset’s leading family-owned brewer, will also provide venue support for the festival at their flagship Wimborne pub, The Olive Branch, located in the heart of the historic town. The Olive Branch (on East Borough road) is one of the main free music venues over the festival weekend with more than 18 bands performing live on the ‘Garden Stage’. The Olive Branch will also provide food and drink throughout the festival for guests to enjoy, including the full range of draught and bottled Badger beers.

Live music, including Plastic Jeezus and Quinns Quinney, will be performed at The Olive Branch from 7-11pm on Friday, 11.45am-11pm on Saturday, and 12.15-5pm on Sunday. Two other of Hall & Woodhouse’s Wimborne pubs, The Oddfellows Arms and The Rising Sun, will also host a vibrant line-up of live music during the festival.

Festival-goers can visit the Badger Beer VW Campervan near the Microbreweries Stage and seek out two other Hall & Woodhouse pop-up offers – Rio Tropical and Colourful Coffee.

Lucinda Gray, Hall & Woodhouse’s Community Relationship Manager, said: “Wimborne Minster Folk Festival promises to provide a weekend of fun for all ages with a joyous mix of traditional English folk music and dance.  On Thursday June 6, we’re kicking-off the festival in style with a Comedy Night at the Tivoli Theatre which will star Hall & Woodhouse’s home-grown magical legend, the Great Baldini.

“The Olive Branch has been part of the Hall & Woodhouse family since 1964 and we’re very proud of it and the role it plays at the heart of the Wimborne community. It’s also wonderful that The Oddfellows Arms and The Rising Sun are joining forces with the Brewery and the Olive Branch to deliver our continued support of this unique festival.  By doing so, we are able to give back to our local guests and visitors to Dorset who return time and time again to our pubs for good food and warm hospitality.”

Hall & Woodhouse is a local independent family company that brews award-winning Badger ales and runs a collection of 180 beautiful pubs and inns across the south of England. The business is dedicated to supporting its local communities and causes, having invested more than £30million in its public houses over the past five years. This is on top of their regular and extensive charity donations, which includes having raised over £800,000 for its chosen charities in the last seven years.
