Absolutely Karting in Bristol is working with the charity Absolutely Together to offer families of children and young adults with additional needs the chance to experience go karting for free.

A dual seat kart allows children from eight years old and young adults with additional needs to enjoy the thrill of karting by being driven safely around the track.  They can also share the experience with their siblings, mums, dads or carers, who are encouraged to join the sessions in a single seat kart.

Absolutely together, part of the Absolutely Leisure Group, works to provide families of children with additional needs with free leisure activities. Thanks to a donation of £1,000 from the Tesco Community Grant Initiative, Absolutely Together has been able to launch its 1,000 smiles campaign and offer eligible families vouchers for swimming, the cinema, visits to We The Curious and go karting.

Naomi Smith, Centre Manager at Absolutely Karting in Bristol, commented:

“Everyone at Absolutely Karting Bristol is pleased to reopen and welcome back drivers and especially the families supported by Absolutely Together. We look forward to seeing the smiles on their faces as they enjoy safely whizzing around the track in our covid safe venue. Families of children with additional needs often struggle to get their children active so we are pleased to be able to offer an activity they can all share.

“Thanks to Absolutely Together and Tesco Community Grants for enabling us to continue to offer free karting; the support will really help us to reach more families in the community.”
