With a background in financial services both in the UK and internationally, Damon Brown gave that all up to run his own cleaning services franchise, and has not looked back. Now, he has been shortlisted in the Transformation category at the bfa HSBC British Franchise Awards, taking place at the Vox, Birmingham, on November 30.
He has been the franchisee of Minster Cleaning Bristol for four years, and since then, through rigorous planning and execution, has seen his business thrive.
Damon Brown, Franchisee said: “I am proud and delighted to have been selected as a finalist in the 2020 bfa HSBC awards in the Transformation category. This could not have been achieved without the dedication and commitment of the members of my team, both in the field and office based, who have contributed to the success of my franchise.”
Pip Wilkins QFP, CEO of the bfa, said:
“In four years, Damon has really modernised the business and worked on engaging with customers. Once the groundwork was in place, Damon had key objectives to ensure that the business would function better, which in turn led to improved inspection scores. Spending more budget on generating leads was also particularly fruitful.”
Andrew Brattesani, Head of Franchising at HSBC, added:
“A lot of Damon’s work focuses on ensuring that all operations are synched and airtight, delivering the best possible customer experience for existing clients and proactively looking for new ones. This has made him one of the the most successful franchisees in the network, with significant increases in every aspect of the business.”
Damon will go head-to-head against three other franchisees in November.
