The kitchen and bathroom showroom at RGB Building Supplies’ Barnstaple branch is delighted to have become an official supplier of Siemens’ new Wi-Fi enabled appliances, and is the only showroom in North Devon where this technology can be demonstrated.

Siemens Home Connect uses smart technology to allow the user to control an appliance via an app on a smartphone or tablet, or by using voice activated devices such as Amazon Echo.

RGB has created a new display area where the technology can be demonstrated. This includes being able to preheat an oven, amend the cooking settings, increase or reduce the temperature, and change the cooking time remotely.

Steve Watson, Showroom Manager at RGB Barnstaple, commented:

“Smart technology has enabled us to totally change the way we interact with pieces of technology in our homes, and it has now moved into kitchen appliances. As well as Home Connect, the ovens include Active Clean meaning that horrible job of cleaning the oven becomes effortless, and our new collection also includes Neff ovens which come with slide and hide doors, a feature that’s become extremely popular after being seen on the Great British Bake Off.

“In addition, we’ve also added Siemens hobs that include its inductionAir system to our range. The ventilation systems are built into the hob, so the traditional ceiling and wall mounted chimney hoods aren’t needed, making them extremely suitable for use with kitchen islands.

“We’re delighted to be able to offer the latest products to our customers and we welcome visitors to the showroom where our team is happy to demonstrate the new smart technology appliances.”

To celebrate the launch of the new technology now being available, RGB is offering a limited time discount on some of the latest appliances. Further information is available from RGB’s kitchen and bathroom showroom, which is located on the first floor of its Barnstaple branch on Pottington Business Park.
